Are You Pre-Lit BRAINWASHED?
Consumers are being hoodwinked by thinking that purchasing a pre lighted artificial Christmas tree will make setting up for the Holidays so much easier. Think again. The article below points out some inevitable occurrences when owning a pre lit Christmas tree.
Why you should free yourself from pre-lit BRAINWASHING:
You are limited in your color choices. One disadvantage to a pre-lit tree is the fact that the Christmas lights cannot be changed. This means that you are bound to use the same color lights every year, limiting your decorative possibilities. The same factor that can make a pre-lit tree seem convenient can quickly become a source of frustration when your tastes change.
If your lights break, you’ve lost your entire investment. If the lights strung on a traditional artificial tree should break, it is fairly simple and inexpensive to simply buy a new set. With a pre-lit tree the lights are permanently installed, so when they break the entire tree is unusable.
You won’t be satisfied with the number of lights. On a pre-lit tree, the number and density of lights is determined for you. Many people find, once they get them home, that pre-lit trees are under-lit for their taste. Sometimes they wind up putting more lights on the tree anyway, defeating the purpose of buying a pre-lit tree to begin with.
The foliage and construction cannot compare with a ChristmasDepot.com American made artificial Christmas tree. Christmas Depot produces the finest artificial Christmas trees available, and do not make pre-lit trees. Anyone who has ever experienced the premium quality of a Christmas Depot tree will not be satisfied with a pre-lit tree. Most pre-lit trees must be assembled by the customer, and look obviously artificial.

Types Of LED Christmas Lights
http://ww8.christmasdepot.com/led/120208.htm
There has been so much information floating around the Internet about how LED Christmas lights save up to 90% more energy than incandescent Christmas lights. There is also another special benefit of LED Christmas lights that is worth talking about. There are several different shapes and sizes of LED Christmas lights. This is a document that explains the different types of LED Christmas lights, and the different applications that each can be used for.
Bulb Styles And Sizes
5MM – This unique new lens style provides more of a sparkle effect previously only found with incandescent lighting. Each lens is a 5mm cone with an indented top to provide 180 degrees of light dispersion. A great style for decorating trees and other shrubbery, these strings will enhance any decorative or seasonal lighting display for years to come.
M5 – The M5 lens style is the shape of a traditional mini light bulb. Traditionally used to decorate trees and other foliage (either in the limbs or as a trunk wrap), this versatile light style combines the benefits of LEDs with one of the most popular bulb sizes.
M6 – The M6 lens style is the shape of a traditional mini SUPER light bulb, which is 40 percent larger than a standard incandescent Christmas light bulb. Traditionally used to decorate trees and other foliage (either in the limbs or as a trunk wrap), this versatile light style combines the benefits of LEDs with one of the most popular bulb sizes. The bulbs are approximately 20 percent brighter than M5 LED light bulbs.
C6- The smallest of the “strawberry” shaped lens styles, the C6 is a versatile bulb shape, suitable for decorating both greenery and some building applications. The lens is approximately 1 and 1/8 inch tall by 3/4 inch wide and is typically used in applications requiring more “pop” than provided by smaller lens styles.
C7 – The C7 is the smaller of the two traditional “strawberry” shaped bulbs used for holiday decorating; the LED version is approximately 1.5 inch tall by 1 inch wide. This mainstay of holiday decorating is used to decorate larger trees, building outlines, and other custom applications. The versatile C7 is also used year round as a decorative lighting product as it can dress up everything from retail/commercial areas to special event venues.
C9 – The largest of the holiday lighting bulb styles and also used as a year-round decorative bulb, the C9 is “strawberry” shaped and approximately 2 1/2 inches long and 1 1/4 inch wide. Primarily used for building outlines, rooflines, and large trees, the C9 enables everything from an eye-catching holiday display to strategically placed decorative lighting ambiance. Look to this style throughout the year for a wide variety of lighting projects.
G12 – The G12 lens style is a round shape, approximately one-half inch in diameter. It provides a decorative alternative to the mini light style and can be used primarily to decorate trees and other foliage. Its round shape provides the ability to insert “berries” into trees or plants or just enables a slightly different lighting effect than either the M5 or conical lens styles.
G25 – Primarily a decorative lighting lens shape, the G25 is a round bulb approximately one inch in diameter. It is a great style for decorating special event venues like tents, as well as for dressing up patio areas and walkways. The G25 is a great alternative to traditional lens styles and can be used for short term decorating or year-round.
There is also Snowflake Icicle lights, Rope Light, Pumpkins, Ghosts and other Novelty Christmas lights.

No Extension Cords Required – Commercial Grade LED Christmas Lights
PRWEB : http://www.prweb.com/releases/2008/11/prweb1684084.htm
Dallas, Texas, November 29, 2008 – Big news for Holiday lighting enthusiasts.
There is a new product category of LED Christmas lights called Commercial Grade LED Christmas String Lights. These new Christmas lights are truly innovative, as they make decorating a house or other large areas so much easier by eliminating the need for extension cords. They have unbreakable bulbs that rarely ever burn out and these very special light sets permit you to connect up to 125 Christmas string light sets together for up to 3000 feet, while using only one (yes one) wall outlet or electric receptacle. No extension cords required. These Super lights also utilize approximately 90 percent less energy than standard incandescent Christmas string lights and are way more durable. It is a great “green” planet friendly, Holiday decorating product.
Property and Perimeter
Purchase very cool accessories and weatherproof adapters to create bi-directional – full perimeter – Holiday lighting displays. Additionally, these lights are perfect for large tree decorating projects and for large perimeter decorating projects. They do not require the extra extension cords as standard light sets do. Connect one set into the next set, into the next set, and so on up to 125 sets or 3000 feet.
It seems that there is always concern as to whether connecting too many light sets together will blow a fuse. Well not anymore. For avid Christmas light installers, this product will also eliminate the extra work associated with hanging Christmas lights on property, trees and bushes. There was recently a report of a decorator in New Jersey who plugged one set into an electrical receptacle on his dock and strung the lights across a New Jersey lake by connecting the sets together for almost a mile, while using his boat to do it. Connect almost one mile of Christmas lights while using only one electrical recepticle. Never before has anyone been able to do that without countless extension cords. This is truly a first.
Christmas Trees
Decorate your real or artificial Christmas tree that is inside the house. Plug the first Commercial LED Christmas string light set in to an electrical outlet then simply connect the next set to the next set, connecting each light set until the limit of 125 Christmas string light sets or 3000 feet is reached. Never look for the extension cords buried in the Christmas tree again. Do not worry that too many light sets are plugged together and will blow a fuse. This happens all the time. That will no longer happen with these Commercial Grade LED Christmas lights. Also one other thing that is very important that people are not always aware of but Commercial Grade LED lights do not get hot no matter how long the light set has been plugged in. Incandescent Christmas string lights get hot and can eventually dry up your live Christmas tree. When a bulb burns out on an incandescent Christmas string light set, each other bulb on the string starts to get hotter. As each bulb gets hotter, more bulbs start to burn out causing a chain reaction. This leaves whatever bulbs still lit to begin to burn even hotter because the distribution of electrical current is now being distributed through fewer bulbs. Electric current no longer flows to the burned out bulbs because of a shunting mechanism. Each remaining live bulb is now receiving more electricity. It subsequently gets hotter until every remaining bulb burns out. Ultimately, using incandescent lights can end up being very dangerous if burned out bulbs are not replaced in a timely manner. Every year at this time there are horrible fires happening because of poorly designed Christmas lights that dry up live Christmas trees. Commercial Grade LED Christmas string lights never get hot. Put a zillion LED bulbs on the real Christmas tree and never worry about the dangers that lurk with incandescent lights. A Christmas tree will stay fresh and need less water with Commercial Grade LED because the bulbs remain cool to the touch and fewer needles will dry up and fall from the real Christmas tree.
Another new product is the LED replacement night-light C size bulb that replaces the incandescent C size night light bulb with a new energy efficient LED unbreakable replacement. Keep the C strings and just replace the C size bulbs with energy efficient LED C size replacement bulbs. They also work with candles, Christmas villages under the tree, and anywhere else night light bulbs are used. Both C-7 and C-9 sizes are available. Full details on this other new product in an upcoming release.
Safety
Finally, not only will Holiday decorating be much more efficient this Holiday season, there is now a guarantee it will be much safer with regard to the hazards of incandescent Christmas lights. New Commercial Grade LED Christmas lights will look much better and brighter too.
Where To Buy Them
There are several places to purchase Commercial Grade LED Christmas string lights online. The large stores like Wal-Mart and Target do not carry this higher end Commercial Grade product yet. To get them this Holiday season, go to ChristmasDepot.com because they have the biggest selection of Commercial Grade LED Christmas string lights – especially with all the bi-directional attachments, etc. ChristmasDepot.com also has the replacement LED C bulbs. In total they have over 200 different styles and sizes for LED Christmas lights, which is by far the largest selection available anywhere. ChristmasDepot.com also sells them by the case with quantity discounts. The Christmas light sets in this article are specifically called Commercial Grade LED Christmas String Lights. It is important that you look for these particular Christmas string lights, as they are the premium version of the standard LED Christmas string lights that are displayed in all the stores, which do not have all the features that were mentioned above
Best In Class
Get in on the ground floor of a great new Holiday decorating idea and take a look at these special Christmas lights before starting to decorate this season. Learn how to get more lights on the house, trees or bushes with less physical work. These Christmas lights use much less energy too. Rated to last for 10 Holiday seasons or more – just rate them as one of the best new products of this Holiday season.
Happy Holidays!

Last night I was watching TV as I usually do each weeknight when I flipped to channel 24 to see what the topic was on Donny Deutsch’s Big Idea. They were taking about the current unemployment rate and how remained a remote possibility that state government could very well run out of the money required to satisfy the large amount of claims coming in from people who have recently lost their jobs.
Then this guy then calls up, he was about 26 years old or so and he started to tell Donny and his guests Charlie Gasparino and Maria Bartiromo, that he was recently working for AIG and was laid off last week. His question was why did the U.S. government provide AIG a second round of funding while he (the caller) was just laid off? The caller was a little bitter but not mad. The caller continued to tell Donny that with just one executive salary at AIG, that company could employ 15 people at his level. The caller wanted to better understand what the money loaned to AIG is going to be used for. Additionally, he wanted to know, why are the AIG executives continuing to receive bonuses and golden parachutes when he was losing his job?
I felt pretty bad for this guy. He said he is married and had 1-2 small children and another child on the way. He called the Donny Deutsch Big Idea television show to get a very needed suggestion and some guidance. This is what Donny’s viewers do. Donny encourages viewers to call in to receive help, suggestions and sometimes-even opportunities. The telephone callers also make contributions to the programming, as you will see. This caller obviously intended for the audience to know that he was in trouble and was looking to Donny and his fellow guests for help. Donny and his guests listened to the young man’s story and when the caller was through, Donny immediately asked his two guests, what should this guy do? Then Charlie Gasparino, began instantly to talk about whether state government was going to run of money and whether they would be able to pay this caller’s unemployment claim. Just what the caller needed to hear. Then Donny and his other guest chimed in about how the federal government may have to assist states with funding to cover unemployment benefits. This appeared to be a lead in for a subsequent few minutes where a talking head was introduced and spoke about state and federal solvency issues.
During this time the caller who remained silent must have been thinking that he made a poor decision by calling Donny’s show, a show which consistently encourages callers to call the broadcast for help with problems related to business. Remember, the caller is a young guy, married with children, and another child on the way. He clearly stated that he has maybe 6 weeks worth of funds in his budget remaining. He stated he did not know what to do after that was gone and was concerned. Donny and his guests did not give the caller any advice at all and never spoke about the potential temporary solutions that might be of benefit to him. Donny and his guests used the caller’s legitimate problem to be used for a carefully planned lead in to the following segment of the show.
I am somewhat disappointed in what transpired on that show last night. I hope that maybe as viewers we did not see the entire picture and perhaps Donny, his guests or Big Idea staff kept this caller on hold until they could provide him with suggestions or possibilities that he may use while unemployed.

In my previous two posts I commented on how John Thain and Merrill Lynch will benefit from the Bank Of America acquisition of Merrill Lynch. If your heart is not broken after learning how the Merrill Lynch shareholders are being duped and stolen from by the board of directors, and the employees are being treated like the dirt under John Thain’s shoes, then let me try again.
I received a Google alert yesterday with a story concerning the layoffs that are about to occur at Merrill Lynch, on the heels of Bank Of America purchasing Merrill Lynch for 50 billion dollars. Bank Of America received the money to acquire Merrill Lynch from the government bailout plan. This money as you know will come from the taxpayers.
Merrill Lynch is expected to layoff 10,000 employees in an upcoming round of layoffs. Merrill recently laid off 500 employees in sales and trading positions.
I remain mesmerized as to how BOA, Merrill Lynch and the U.S. Government can allow John Thain to receive a 5.2 million dollar bonus if this deal goes through. 10,000 employees will eventually lose their jobs and the shareholders have lost over 70 percent of the value of their investment. This deal is very unsettling to say the least.

As I started to think more and more about the Merrill Lynch – BOA transaction, I could not help but to think about how Merrill’s shareholders have each lost a considerable amount of share value during the time leading up to this acquisition by BOA.
John Thain is going to receive a 5.2 million dollar bonus paid for by U.S. taxpayers. Bank Of America is going to acquire ownership Of Merrill Lynch for 50 billion dollars, paid for by U.S. taxpayers.
Although I am extremely curious about this transaction and hope it does not take place, my heart goes out to the innocent Merrill shareholders who just assumed that the company that they were investing in was an honorable company as was its directors. Those shareholders have lost approximately 70 percent of the value of their holdings in the Merrill Lynch Company. The 52 week high for Merrill’s stock was $63.11 and the current value per share at this writing is less than $17.00.

I do not know if you have heard but I caught a news bit online the other day that was quite bothersome. Merrill Lynch CEO John Thain is going to receive 5.2 million dollars if he can close the deal on Merrill’s buy out with Bank Of America.
First BOA takes part in the U.S. Bailout program where they are set to receive (or have received) initially 50 billion dollars from the government. The money received from the government Bailout is supposed to be earmarked to fund more loans, fix loans on their books and to contribute aid to the housing crisis. Instead however, BOA is using the money for corporate acquisitions like the one they are doing with Merrill Lynch.
I need help understanding this because the way I see it and please correct me if I am wrong, the government is loaning BOA 50 billion dollars. BOA is using this money to purchase Merrill Lynch because they are on the verge of bankruptcy. If the deal goes through, then John Thain the CEO of Merrill Lynch will receive 5.2 million dollars.
The moral of the story I think and I hope I am wrong, is the CEO manages Merrill into potential bankruptcy protection. Merrill receives a buyout offer from BOA, a recipient of 50 billion dollars in Bailout money. John Thain then receives over 5 million dollars for conducting the deal. John Thain has a new job with BOA and you and I the taxpayers pay for his 5 million dollar bonus. BOA acquires a new company in the process, which we the taxpayers also pay for. We the people of the U.S.A. pay for the whole thing as taxpayers.
I consider myself slightly above average when it comes to understanding business and economic topics, however I just can’t get my head around this one.

Here is a decorating tip when hanging Christmas lights on your home or business this Holiday season.
Check out a new category of LED lights called Commercial Grade LED Christmas String Lights. They are truly innovative, as they make decorating a house or other large areas so much easier by eliminating the need for extension cords. Not only do the bulbs rarely ever burn out but the light sets permit you to connect up to 125 string light sets together in a straight line for up to 3000 feet while using only one (yes one) wall outlet. No extension cords required. They also utilize 80 percent less energy than standard incandescent Christmas string lights and are unbreakable.
There are also very neat accessories and adapters you can buy to create bi-directional perimeter displays. They are great for large tree decorating and for large perimeter decorating because you do not need all the extra extension cords. You connect one set into the next set, into the next set, and so on up to 125 sets or 3000 feet. If you’re a Holiday decorator I know you hear me on this.
It’s very cool stuff.
Christmas Depot and Planet LED Lights both have a wonderful selection of these specially constructed Christmas light sets and they are specifically called Commercial Grade LED Christmas String Lights. It’s important that you look at these particular string lights, as they are the premium version of the standard LED Christmas string lights you may see in the stores. Make sure you take a look at these special Christmas lights before you start your decorating this season. If you are looking for a way to get more light on your house or trees with less actual physical work, then these are the Christmas lights for you.
Happy Holidays!
